Clothes and accessories arranged on a long oak table

Notes from the table

What sits together.

The overshirt is bone wool, heavy enough for a morning that has not decided. The trousers are stone drill, one break, no crease pressed in.

The scarf is the only silk. Rust, not red. It is meant to be seen at the collar and then forgotten.

The belt, the tote, and the watch cap stay in the accessories drawer. Hardware, canvas, merino. Nothing on them is printed.
